Autonomous Lunar Power Grid

An hour-by-hour simulation of the power system for an autonomous lunar outpost — photovoltaic array, fission reactor, battery, regenerative fuel cell, and a controller that decides what to switch off when the reserves run low. Sixty simulated days, just over two lunar cycles.

Every hour of unserved power happened at a fleet reserve of 0.62 — comfortably above the shed threshold, and rising. Energy-limited and power-limited failures are different events, and a single state-of-charge signal is blind to one of them.
